RESIN ART & COSMETIC: PIGMENTS, POWDERS AND COLOURANTS

We stock a wide range of pigments, powders and liquid colourants for Arts & Crafts applications. Cosmetic pigments are lower down and clearly state "Cosmetic" in the heading.

Pearlescent and Metallic Pigment Powders

  • 12 pigments all suitable for interior and exterior use (non-fading)
  • Includes coated aluminium powders that are stable in water
  • Includes very fine pigments and coarser pigments.

Durable Glitter Powders

  • These are not cheap glitter powders as our glitters are all non-fading and chemical resistant. This means they can be used in exterior applications and in solvent containing substances such as paints, resins and plastics. They are suitable for high quality arts and crafts, and in  industrial & automotive applications.

 Holographic Glitter Powder

  • Holographic Glitter sparkles silver, red, blue, green and colours in-between. The sparkling colour changes with the slightest of movement.

Bright Neon Pigment Powders:

  •  6 vivid colours (Red  Orange Pink  Yellow  Green Blue)
  • For interior use as the colours will fade in sunlight.
  • Fluorescent: These pigments will glow vividly under UV light.

Liquid Paint Colourants

  • 18 highly concentrated paint colourants that are all non-fading making them perfect for interior and exterior and for highly durable art works.
  • Universal colourants that can be used in water based and solvent based systems.
  • Beware of cheaper tints sold in small bottles by some hardware stores. The Bright Reds and Bright Yellows will fade in sunlight within a few months and the tint concentration will be much lower.

Cosmetic Diamond Pigments

Pearlescent Pigments based on Coated Glass

When searching for ultimate effects, Pearlescent Pigments based on Mica and Synthetic Mica are sometime just not good enough. An even higher grade of Pearlescent Pigments is available; Pearlescent Pigments based on Glass. Glass is more transparent and more uniform in colour and shape than Mica. Glass based Pearlescents are superior when it comes to creating a sparkle effect and having the pigments vanish when not at angles where they sparkle.

These Pigments are too large to create solid colour, they are specifically to create sparkle effects.

For resin art, use these pigments only in the top resin layer.

Cosmetic Pearlescent Pigments

Approved for skin contact and meet both European and USA cosmetic requirements.

These are fine pigments based on coated natural mica and give a natural metallic appearance.

They can be used in both water and solvent based systems. Did you know?
Nail products should only use pigments that have been approved for cosmetic applications. Although application on the nail itself does not pose a risk, most nail products contact the cuticle. As the cuticle is regarded as "skin", nail products should only contain ingredients that are certified for cosmetic applications.

Ingredients used in cosmetic products that get applied around the eye need special approval. They need to meet additional requirements not required by ingredients used in other cosmetic products.

Cosmetic Bright Neon Pigments

DefinitionsNeon color: A really vivid colorFluorescent: Glows under Ultra violet (UV) lightThese pigments are Neon Fluorescent i.e. vivid colors that will glow under UV light.

Cosmetically certified: We can provide the required documents if you need them. It is not easy to manufacture or obtain neon fluorescent pigments. At one point we could only find one supplier in the world that could provide cosmetic documentation. This is because many of the colorants used to make bright neon pigments are not suitable for skin contact. We import these pigments from the USA and the manufacturers brand name for this range is Dermaglow.

Why no green or blue?we managed to get stock of green and blue but can't get any more. All the stock we have is designated for our own production so green and blue neon pigments are not for sale.
